GC-Dollar was founded in February 2021, as a “Profit for Purpose” company with a vision, to raise enough money to create a connection between caring for and rebuilding bio-diverse living environments and profitability that rewards landowners and workers at the grassroots and at the same rate in all countries for a tonne of carbon grown into a bio-diverse living environment.
We noticed that carbon credits and offsets can be expensive to get involved with, do not reward at a truly representative rate for the carbon put back into a living environment, and they enable large polluters to continue their negative activities and does not prevent them increasing their carbon emissions.
We believe that no part of carbon credits and offset schemes that are available address the inequality between nations. Global Climate Dollar hopes to address these gaps and contribute positively to change, environmentally, socially, and economically when GC-Dollar makes it to market.

Blockchain has made it possible to build new currencies/commodities and NFT’s, GC-Dollar makes it possible to connect living environments to digital profitability. The growth in blockchain has been extraordinary, let’s apply that acceleration of change to fixing our living environments, bringing hope for a greener future and wealth to people fixing and caring for bio-diversity.
Nothing truly large-scale has ever been achieved that was not profitable. The trick is to make fixing the world, saving the oceans, and rebuilding our living environments profitable for all people on our one planet. When it is profitable for the people on the ground, it will happen quickly.
The seed idea from 2016 burst into life in the middle of a holistic training course run by the Savory Institute(https://savoryinstitute.teachable.com/), a part of creating a holistic context is created by imagining what you would like your environment to look like in 100, 300 years’ time, in this case 500 years.
What would the world look like if we successfully rebuilt all of the living environments that we have degraded, how would the people living in this world make their money, and where is the true wealth of this futuristic world in its technology or its ability to provide effortlessly the food, water, and security we need as a community.
Our environmental solution has never been about us, our focus is on a global whole. Every environmental organisation that is re-building living environments, every indigenous community living within a bio-diverse environment, every community group replanting trees and building a future that is greener, holistic planned grazes using their context to guide their decision-making towards the future they desire as a community, people re-establishing grasslands, ocean care projects re-growing existing environments or creating new ones will benefit if they could bring with them simple verifiable organic carbon data. Businesses, small, medium, large scale and so much more, could benefit from our innovative solution.
We truly believe that this idea has the potential to drive a global change towards a better, greener, and more biodiverse future for all of us.
